Lack of sleep has been linked with obesity in both children and adults. Sleep usually promotes hormonal balance in the body. Usually, those suffering from mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, major depression and clinical depression among others are usually advised to get enough sleep which will help them regulate the moods. You will be happier and more able to deal with the day-to-day stresses of life.

Reduces the Risk of Cardiovascular Diseases
Lack of sleep leads to an inflammatory response in the arteries and the blood vessels. If sleep deprivation is continued for a long period of time, then the inflammation could become chronic and lead to a stroke or a heart attack. Those who sleep enough and lead a healthy lifestyle are at a lower risk of developing such cardiovascular diseases.
